The XClaim card is an updated version utilizing a faster Rage Pro chipset and doubling the standard VRAM from 2 MB to 4 MB (not included)

XClaim Pro supports up to 8 MB of VRAM, 4 MB that it ships with are all you'll need to see millions of colors, 24-bit, at resolutions of up to 1152x870. Add 4 MB by slotting memory into the available socket at the tail end of the card.

With the XClaim VR, you will enjoy the 32-bit color at any of the supported resolutions. Scrolling, opening windows, and other graphical tasks will speed up thanks to the cards speedy 2D capabilities, and your entire computer will speed up a bit because your processor will no longer handle graphics. Alternately, you can use it to add a second monitor to your Mac.

The video-capture mode is able to achieve acceptable frame rates at 320x240, 24-bit.

You can also check your EEE code on your Video Card. To be sure you are ordering the correct replacement part for your computer, make sure the EEE code of your existing Video Card corresponds to one of the EEE codes listed below in notes.

EEE Code Note: All Apple Video Card have a special three digit "EEE" code embedded in the Video Card serial number which positively identifies the part. Please note that this is the serial number of the Video Card, NOT the serial number of the machine. The Video Card serial number is on a tag which has the format "xxxxxxxEEEx". The "EEE" code is the three letters immediately preceding the last digit of the serial number.
