How do I tell if I have a 1st Gen or 2nd Gen iPod Mini?
1. There are subtle differences. The 1st Gen does not say the iPod size, the 2nd Gen does say 4Gb or 8GB.
2. The 1st Gen always has a white click wheel with grey control icons. The 2nd Gen will have a white click wheel with the control icons matching the color of the case. Example: a pink iPod mini will have pink control icons to match the case.
