Description
The key design goal of Apple was to create a notebook computer tough enough to stand up to the occasional bumps and other unexpected mishaps of life on the go. From the standpoint of a laptop, the inside of a backpack can be a very inhospitable place.
The iBook's sleek case is made out of impact-resistant polycarbonate plastic. That would ordinarily be sufficient to survive the rigors of everyday use and abuse, but that's not all. Inside, a sturdy magnesium frame provides superior strength, while reducing the iBook's weight to well below that of other full-featured PC notebooks. There is even a rubber-mounted hard disk drive for added bump tolerance, so you can store all of your digital goodies on your iBook and still enjoy peace of mind. Additionally, the iBook has no I/O doors, protruding latches or levers to break or snap off when tucking it into a backpack or briefcase.

Are the original manuals and system discs included?
Manuals and system discs are not included. You can, however, download Apple manuals from http://www.apple.com/support.
What software is installed on the system?
All machines from iMacs, G3, G4 LapTops, PowerMac G3 B/W, G4, G5 and on are shipped with an Operating System. The pre owned machines usually ship with the original OS that came on the machine when it was first introduced. Pre-Owned machines will ship with either OS X 9.1 or a version of Mac OS X. If you need a different OS please order here.
Our technicians do their best to restore each system to their factory specifications. This includes replacing any parts that have failed, restoring factory software, cleaning the units and insuring that they function properly.
As with any used product, some minor scratches, dings, or imperfections may be present, and these minor cosmetic defects are not covered under the 30 day warranty.
