These speakers use a special connector called the Apple Pro Speaker Jack available only on Apple iMacs and G4s. No other machine could use these speakers - until now. The iFire conects via FireWire and audio mini jack to ANY machine (like a PowerBook, iBook or the new G5) and then powers and connects any pair of Apple Pro Speakers (available seperately from Apple).
