*If using a LCD monitor this subsitution will not work. The monitor needs the second plug to power the monitor.

You can also check your EEE code on your Power Supply. To be sure you are ordering the correct replacement part for your computer, make sure the EEE code of your existing Power Supply corresponds to one of the EEE codes listed below in notes.
EEE Code Note: All Apple Power Supplys have a special three digit "EEE" code embedded in the Power Supply serial number which positively identifies the part. Please note that this is the serial number of the Power Supply, NOT the serial number of the machine. The Power Supply serial number is on a tag which has the format "xxxxxxxEEEx". The "EEE" code is the three letters immediately preceding the last digit of the serial number.

This part has been discontinued form Apple. The replacement equivalent power supply is part number 661-2412 from our site. The only difference between the two parts is the 661-2412 does not have the extra power plug for a monitor.
